Labour Labour was reassess the reforms pushed through regarding the House of Lords. The primary priority of the party would be to define the actual functions of the Lords. Plans for a Supreme Court would be continued with as would a reform of the position of the Lord Chancellor. Plans for regional assemblies in England will be ended. 
Conservatives The Human Rights Act would be reviewed with the possibility of Britain pulling out of it. The number of MP's and ministers would be cut by 20%. Up to 134 MP's would go. Only English MP's would be allowed to vote on legislation that purely affected England. A referendum would be held on whether the Welsh Assembly should be scrapped.
Liberal Democrats The Liberal Democrats would complete the reform of the House of Lords. The party supports a fully elected second chamber. Plans for regional assemblies in England are to scrapped and any assembly that is made up of non-elected officials would be reformed to include only elected officials. Regional development agencies would be made more accountable.
