Labour Special control orders will be granted by judges which will enable suspects to be detained in their homes; they can also be put under strict supervision which limit their areas of work. Labour want to further develop Britain's relations with America and the EU to develop anti-terror measures.
Conservative The Conservatives would appoint a Minister for Homeland Security. He/she would co-ordinate all the government's anti-terror activities. The Conservatives would also set up the British Border Control Police. This new force would take charge of entry at ports and airports.
Liberal Democrats The Liberal Democrats would also create a new National Border Force. The party would also allow the use of Internet communications in court. A minister would be appointed to oversee anti-terror policy and who would co-ordinate the responses of the emergency services in the event of an attack. There would be a move to further develop the global approach to anti-terror measures.
