Labour Labour would retain Britain's 'special relationship' with America. The party would use this relationship as a bridge between the EU and America. The party would do all it could to help the Middle East crisis and its aim would be to start pulling troops out of Iraq in 2006.
Conservatives The Conservatives would make it a priority to advance British national interests in the world. The party would seek to se the EU working more in harmony with the USA. The Conservatives would support international efforts in the Middle East, including the Road Map to Peace.
Liberal Democrats The Liberal Democrats would start to pull out troops from Iraq at the end of the UN mandate which expires at the end of 2005. The party wants to see Britain play a greater role in the EU and UN.
