Labour Party candidates 1900 to 1979

The number of Labour candidates at elections obviously grew as the popularity of the Labour Party itself increased. However, the number of male candidates after 1918 greatly outnumbered female candidates despite the fact that the Representation of the People Act of 1918 had enfranchised women 30 years and over and with property qualifications.
