Members of the European Union

The European Union was expanded in 2007 to now include 27 members. Three other states have applied to be members of the European Union. These are Turkey, Croatia and FYR Macedonia. The current members of the EU with their total number of MEPís are:

Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovak Republic and Slovenia joined in 2004

 

Bulgaria and Romania joined in 2007
